Few things are as important to me as working together to move the association forward with transparency and integrity. I have been actively and openly advocating for increasing transparency and demonstrated integrity in everything we do at the leadership level, and I think I’ve made a difference. But the time has come to take my message inside the board room, not as an outsider or guest, but as a member of the board with a voice and a vote.

The current board has been working hard to bring the association back from the financial crisis of two years ago. Now is the time, while we are still in the rebuilding phase, to ensure transparency and integrity are built into every process. We have accomplished a lot in two years and proven that we have the energy to get things done. I want to be a part of the team and make sure we are not only getting things done but getting things done right so that SCAA can truly be a global leader in the coffee industry.
